The Light Stays Red for Thirty Days

I know you’re terrified

People scared of people

Eyes meet eyes with worry

Countries forced to rest

While the world resets

You were moving far too fast anyways

So, this is it

Time

The break we didn’t know we needed

What will you do with it?

Does the dusty beckoning book ever get picked up?

Will you run to the trees where things progress naturally?

Will you not only show up, but connect?

Will you see how this will revolutionize lives decades to come?

Will you Just. Be. Still.

Oh, and please don’t forget to write about this

To tell them how it made you feel

Shifting foundations beneath weak feet

The light stays red for thirty days

But the world will revisit this moment for lifetimes
